Your role


As Purchaser, you will ensure that our divisional goals are met regarding service levels, quality, cost development and working capital. You will report to the purchase Manager of the Power Technique Service division.


  • You will manage the supplier portfolio you are responsible for: ensure on-time deliveries from our supplier at the lowest total cost of ownership
  • You will look for improvement possibilities within your supplier portfolio: resource items to different suppliers, look for cost savings,…
  • You will support life cycle management of spare parts: play an active role in the spare part setup process by ensuring fast master data updates are given
  • You will represent Power Technique Service Division purchasing in divisional project teams
  • You will Work with our Purchasing team in Wilrijk & Service Center teams across the world to ensure our common Atlas Copco goals are met.
  • You will support our Regional/Global Service Centers to assure highest availability of spare parts and consumables to our worldwide customers.
  • You will provide fast and accurate purchasing Master Data Updates to our Service Centers
  • You will communicate proactively with our suppliers and Service Centers
  • You will reduce working capital tied-up by working according to our supplier excellence program: optimizing supplier lead-times and lotsizes - and at same time boost inbound delivery performance towards our Service Centers
  • You will participate in the divisional supplier excellence program and define clear action plans with your suppliers with close follow-up
  • You will assure that our supplier base fulfills the corporate governance standards of the Atlas Copco Group, including environmental and ethical standards, described in the business code of practice
  • You will take full ownership and commitment to achieve our common goals
  • You will report on monthly basis the progress and achievements with clear quantified benefits.
  • You will go on short, but frequent business trips

Your main mission


  • You will contribute to enhance customer satisfaction by improving our processes in the supply chain
  • You will contribute to the development and optimization of the world-wide aftermarket supply chain with the ambition to become and remain the world class competence center within the Power Technique Service Division
  • You will assure that your activities are following our Power Technique Service 3-year plan.

  • You have 1+ years of experience in purchasing and/or logistics
  • You can rely on a university degree in applied economics or engineering; or a relevant working experience
  • You are dynamic and happily take ownership of your projects
  • You are convincing and easily adapt your communication style
  • You are both analytical and empathic
  • You show eagerness, integrity and commercial thinking
  • You are fluent in English, as this is our internal language. Fluency in Dutch (or other languages) is an asset

Job location


We are a global team working in a hybrid model, with the option to work 2 days per week from home or remotely. We have offices in Wilrijk, Antwerp. #Li-hybrid.

You will travel to our local customer centers and have regular check-ins in our distribution center, located in Hoeselt.
