Job Purpose

The FLSL will maximize the business opportunity and create in-depth understanding of patient and customer needs in the Specialty Care area, ensuring best execution of GSK strategies, in line with the requirements of the operational plan through the appropriate investment of resources and the management, leadership and coaching of a team of Account Managers.

As a leader, the FLSM shall:

  • Translate strategy into action and align strategy with goal setting, execution and performance measurement
  • Connect with others by building trust, coaching (including peers), persuading and giving feedback, develop employees, and take responsibility for personal development
  • Drive performance and tiered accountability
  • Have a broad portfolio understanding
  • Have elevated business acumen and ability to translate strategic direction into effective commercial proposals
  • Develop in depth understanding of customer & patient needs in different geographical areas
  • Develop insightful views on potential for long-term patient-centric projects in line with account specificities
  • As part of a continuous development journey, coach & develop the team-members

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead a National team of Key Account Managers
  • You are accountable for the realization of the qualitative and quantitative objectives of the business.
  • You provide coaching and support to enable the team to promote GSK-products to the targeted audience in the most efficient way.
  • You inspire a patient-centric view beyond brand engagement between KAMs and Key Local stakeholders
  • You enforce the strict application of the GSK Ethical Code and Internal Ground Rules.
  • You lead the team by advocating GSK strategies in terms of content as well as in behavior and engage the team by being a role model.
  • You execute, advocate and lead in the roll out of the commercial model
  • You manage active performance
  • You inspire, lead, coach, challenge and manage a sales team in selected market segments
  • You manage Budget Requests of Representatives according to attributed budgets and in an appropriate way ensuring the application of GSK Internal Ground Rules and maximization of the business opportunities.
  • You organize regular coordination meetings with team members and if required with other internal stakeholders
  • You share best practice and engage in cross-company business enhancement projects where appropriate

  • Degree level: scientific bachelor/master or relevant experience
  • Proven experience in visiting HCPs and/or managing hospital accounts
  • People management: experience in leading people, driving performance and/or influencing without authority
  • Selling excellence: interpersonal, communication and influencing skills to deliver an impactful call
  • High scientific skills: ability to understand, capture and communicate complex scientific ideas in a simple way. Demonstrated ability to analyze and assimilate scientific and sales data
  • Project Management skills, including the ability to implement, monitor and review projects and expertise and demonstrated skills in account management
  • Proven ability to work across boundaries with highly specialized external experts and senior internal stakeholders and willingness to be a strong member of a high-performing team
  • Ability to form collaborative relationships and to lead without authority
  • Languages EN/FR/NL
